(evil laugh)
just completed some tweaks on my charvel socal. i never really was a neck-bucker user so i had a new p-guard made to put a single coil sized bucker in the middle. ended up with an sd cool rails pickup and it sounds great. kind of gets the prototype-phantom tones with both pickups on. really digging this guitar.

thanks tj. the charvel socals are really cool for the money. i kind of took mine out of shredder territory with the wolfetone bridge pickup and blocking the floyd for down travel only but i am really happy with it.

FMIC in its infinite wisdom (insert sarcasm) has decided to discontinue the soCal/production series.. they promise that they will be replaced by something cooler.. right now its only specualtion, but the majority thought is that you'll see an $1100 guitar from Charvel with semi-custom/options.. like choosing black or chrome hardware or choosing early carve, San Dimas carve, etc.. not a full on custom../ they already do that.. but something with a basic set of options, pup combos and layouts, etc.
BUY MY BOOK! Intelli-Shred is now available from NGW and ALFRED at Amazon, Barnes&Nobles, Books-A-Million, Target.com, Elderly Instruments, SamAsh, SheetMusicPlus, etc.

wow, that's seems weird. the socal series seem to have sold pretty well. if they were 1 lb lighter i would probably have more than 1.

gigged with it friday. very cool. nice plucky, single coil style tones on the middle pickup. easy to flip the switch to more gain and brightness from the bridge p/u for leads.
